Mixed Carrot Cutlet:

Requirements: Carrot – 200g, Large Onion-1, Green Peas – 50g, Cheese – 50g, Chili Powder – 2 tsp, Corn Flour – 100g, Salt – Required amount, Ghee or Sunflower Oil – For frying .

Preparation: Peel the carrot and onion and grate them. Cook Green peas, grated carrot. Mix the cornmeal and chili powder well and add the grated cheese. Then add the cooked peas and grated carrot and onion and roll into little balls. Then put the tava on the gas stove on fire and press the balls into vadas and keep them in the hot pan. For ghee or oil for frying. After it turns a golden brown color, remove the chops and serve with hot chili sauce or tomato sauce.

Tomato Thokku:

Requirements: Tomato Bangalore-10, Chili Powder-4 tsp, Methi-1 tsp, Turmeric Powder-1 tsp, Asafetida-Small, Mustard-1 tsp, Required Amount of Salt, Gingelly Oil-100 gms.

Preparation: First wash the tomatoes and cook them with a little water in a pressure cooker (1 Silbato). Take the cooked tomatoes and peel off the outer skin and mash them into mixie to make a sauce and set aside. Take a deep frying pan and heat it. First fry the methi and then carefully pour oil into it and put mustard and Asafoetida. When the mustard jumps, add the tomato sauce that you have already made, the chili powder and the salt. Fry over low heat until the batter becomes a thick paste. Add Turmeric powder and Methi powder. Turn off the gas. Cool it and store it in a bottle. It is a very delicious side dish for chappati, Dosa and Upma. It can also be used with plain rice. It will last 10-12 days.
