A reveal is the removal of a cover that reveals something, and in some cases for the first time. Prior to an unveiling, what is about to be revealed has been the subject of great care and attention. The anticipation of the inauguration is set and staged in an atmosphere of emotion and great expectation.

As you continue in your process of discovering yourself, there will be a revelation that will take place. God will reveal to you. All the great and wonderful things that he has put inside of you that make you who you are. Gifts, talents, skills, abilities and the like. As God begins to reveal your purpose to you, he also reveals those things that have been covered up by past hurts, other people’s opinions, fears, and insecurities that keep you from walking in that purpose. This revelation is not made with great fanfare but out of a special love and care that only God can create and provide.

It is in quiet moments of reflection and even in challenging situations that he removes the cover and what is exposed underneath is only for you and him to see and work on together. Others may think they know what is keeping you from fulfilling your purpose, but it is God who knows all, sees all, and ultimately reveals all. His care, patience, and love during this revelation will allow you to not only accept what he reveals, but encourage him to bravely face the need to eliminate it.

While God is lovingly and carefully revealing things to you, He is also openly revealing your victories to others. 2 Corinthians 2:14 in the enlarged version says “But thanks be to God, who in Christ leads us always in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us the smell of the knowledge of God spreads and is everywhere evident.” Notice the words “as trophies of Christ’s victory,” “the smell of the knowledge of God is everywhere evident.” Not only do you become a symbol of victory, but there is a fragrance that radiates from your victory, its scent declaring the power and presence of God not only to you and those around you, but everywhere.

The journey to discover yourself is exciting! It is the unveiling of the unknown, valuing and celebrating the known. Enjoy the trip!
