In the 3 lakes just to fly in Terrokar Forest, there are a total of 17 Highland Mixed School fishing nodes (3 on Lake Jorune above Stonebreaker Point, 4 on Lake Ere’Noru above Allerian Stronghold and 10 on Lake Blackwind / Skettis area.) You will need to have around 480 or more fishing to reliably catch the fish in these lakes … being raging crabs, gold-scale selling fish (that seller for 6g per!), Gold darts, boxes , boxes of scrolls and possibly Mr. Pinched.
(As a side note, raging crabs only come from those mixed highland schools, used to cook spicy crabs, giving you 30 stam and 20 spirit for 30 minutes if you spend at least 10 seconds eating)
Like the rare fish in STV during the contest, there is a very small chance that you will be able to catch Mr. Pinchy, a rare Crawdad that will have 3 wishes (charges) that give a random effect / item with a 48 hour cooldown. of those mixed pools in the Highlands. Mr. Pinchy’s drop rate is about 0.2%, which averages about 1 in 500 successful pitches. So be prepared to spend a lot of time trying to catch it.
Yes / When you receive Mr. Pinchy, there are 5 wish effects. These are:
– Mr. Pinchy’s Gift, a gift wrapped package that will contain 4-5 Super Healing and 4-5 Potions of Super Mana. (seems to be the most common result of wishes)
– Summons Furious Mr. Pinchy, level 70 Not elite that will attack you and the group.
– Benevolent Mr. Pinchy: Summons a level 70 guardian to aid you in combat.
– Blessing of Mr. Pinchy, with 2 HOURS + 1200 HP of power that lasts even until death.
– Magical Crawdad Box, the only permanent, non-consumable reward, a super rare non-combat pet (normal white quality, but super rare because you have to catch Mr. Pinchy first to get it, then get lucky enough to give you the pet after that.
After using the third charge / wish, Mr. Pinchy will disappear from your inventory, having been consumed. You will have to catch Mr. Pinchy again to get another 3 wishes / chances to get what you are looking for, which for most people is the Magic Crawdad Box.
