We live in a confusing and changing world. With so much discord and unhappiness swirling around, it can sometimes seem impossible to lead a truly Christian life. When our political and social leaders are making big missteps and failing to be an example of the good Christian life, it is easy to become discouraged. However, do not despair, as a Christian, you do not need to look at those around you to feel the love of God or a good example. Know that your heavenly Father wants only the best for you as a young Christian, and that He provides everything he will need to succeed.

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.

They are plans of good and not of calamity, to give you a

future and a hope”.

–Jeremiah 29:11

The times in which Jesus Christ lived were no less tumultuous than the times in which we live now. Through his actions and his great love for man, God showed the people of that time what it meant to be a Christian. God sacrificed his only begotten son, so that we could love one another as God loves us and fulfill his wishes by leading a good Christian life. Today’s Christian youth are blessed with the opportunity to live in a time when much good can be done by sharing God’s word. Know that you are blessed and have the power to help others by setting a good example of Christian living.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

–Philippians 4:13

Living your life as a good Christian means accepting others even if they are different. Today’s Christian youth can make a radical and lasting difference in the world by living their lives as God intended; leading by example and demonstrating that a good Christian life is full. Family, friends and the word of God are the greatest gifts one can share and they are all rewards that come from the Christian life. We are very blessed to have the great love of God in our lives. What better way to honor that love than to share it with others who may be living in the dark?

“Be strong and courageous; do not fear or fear for them, for it is the Lord

your God who goes with you; he will not leave you or forsake you.”

–Deuteronomy 31:6

Armed with the great love of God, there is no obstacle that you cannot overcome. Being a Christian offers you many opportunities to share God’s word and God’s love. Don’t be afraid to rejoice in the great gift you have as a young Christian. Know that no matter what trial you face, God’s love will see you through. Hold on to your beliefs and live your life as God has commanded and you will reap the rewards of a good Christian life. Even in your darkest hour, your great faith and your Christian life will illuminate your soul and fill you with great peace, knowing that you are never alone.

“The Lord will guide you continually.”

–Isaiah 58:11
