He was screaming fucking murder and he could hear the sirens calling out code 3. The club, well half of it anyway, was sticking out of the boys’ beer-filled guts. He wasn’t sure if he was a hot dog sticking out or his intestines.

Oh, did I mention you got stuck on a putter shaft because your overworked golfing partner missed a 3-foot putt and decided to wrap your putter around the nearest tree?

In my teens I worked on a golf course and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything scarier than a hot-tempered golfer who misses a short putt that he thinks he should be making.

The truth is, if I knew what I’m going to tell you, I’d make 95 out of 100 of those 3-foot putts.

The same goes for professional basketball players. Take Ray Allen of the world champion Boston Celtics and Shaq “Daddy” of the Miami Heat for example.

Ray makes over 90% of his free throws and Shaq a lousy 50%.

Why? What is the difference?

One reason and only one reason.

Lack of compromise.

The next time you see Shaq approach the foul line, watch him closely. He already has a look of defeat plastered all over his face before he gets to the line. Watch him lose his balance with his foot and the ball.

To top it off, he shot and put the ball there as fast as he could so he could get away from that tainted line.

If he learned to commit to his free throws, he would shoot at least 70%, maybe even 80% and become a near unstoppable force on the court.

No more “hacking a Shaq” during crunch time. He would have the confidence and arrogance that guaranteed his success on the line.

I bet you could get at least a $5,000,000 raise.

If you could guarantee your success 80% of the time, wouldn’t YOU be worth more money annually, monthly, and even daily?
