I had to put on my best armor today.

Why? Because I’m definitely going to get a lot of backlash from certain people. After all, email marketers are supposed to love autoresponders.

It is not like this?

Well, hold your horses. Because I’m here to tell you why you should send daily emails (like daily broadcasts) instead of relying on an autoresponder sequence.

Clever? Let’s go straight to it…

1) You can’t be “up to date” with an autoresponder

One of the great things about daily email is that you can talk about current events.

And when you talk to your prospects about the current things that are happening in the world, they will pay attention to you.

Do you want an example? Well then. When Leicester won the Premier League, it gave me something topical to talk about. And it turned out to be one of the most profitable emails I’ve ever written. I think this was just because people could relate to it as it had just happened.

TV shows and movies are also great email fodder. Once again, clearly you have to be up to date when talking about these.

But if you logged in on an autoresponder, you couldn’t exactly be “up to date”, could you…?

2) You risk “losing” a lot of people over a single email

See, even I write poor email from time to time (I know, horror, right?).

But that does not matter. Because I can make sales the next day with a better email. And that poor email would go down in history.

But if that same email was in an autoresponder sequence, everyone who joined my list in the future would also receive it. Yes, I know you could remove it or change it. But that is making things more difficult than they should be. Sending daily emails is much less complicated.

3) Autoresponders don’t tend to “throw in” on every email

Look, I know you can easily create an autoresponder with a sales pitch in every email.

But the fact is that most autoresponders don’t. Instead, they tend to tell a story that is told over numerous emails, before launching a product/service.

Now listen.

I’m sure this works.

To be sure, there are guys out there who use autoresponders successfully. Andre Chaperon and John McIntyre come to mind.

But I think Ben Settle is the best email marketer in the world. And he does email every day. And, yes, he pitches every day, without having to take anyone through a lengthy story sequence. Clearly, you’re going to make money faster by doing it Ben’s way. And I like it fast. I’m sure you do too.

Anyway, I’m not saying that autoresponders are the devil.

far from there

In fact, they have some advantages over daily broadcasts.

But you know what? For me personally, nothing has come even close to beating daily email when it comes to making sales.

And believe me, if you do it right, it will be the same for you too.
