We don’t think much about how a hair dryer works, all we know is that our hair is wet, we take the dryer, turn it on and dry our hair. Without going into too much detail, a good blow dryer will work its magic on your hair without burning it, while keeping it shiny, full-bodied and healthy. It’s good to know a bit about the inner workings of a hair dye, as this will allow you to choose the best one for your hair type.

The hair dryer has two main parts, heat and air. The hot air is then pushed through the funnel of the hair dryer and into your hair. The dryer has an element as part of it that allows it to produce heat. This item will heat up quickly, however you also need something to push the hot air out to dry your hair properly. Basically, by turning on a dryer, you allow the flow of electricity into the machine. This electrical energy is used to power the fan. The fan part is simply a small motor that spins the fan to push hot air out. Some of the more modern blow dryers also allow you to turn off the heating element, giving you only cool air to set the style at the end of the entire process.

There is also a coiled cord available which is basically the main mechanical part of the entire tool that heats the hot air. Wire is a poor conductor of electricity, so when electrical charge passes through it, instead of conducting the charge, it will actually heat up, allowing hot hair to act on your hair. An important aspect of coiled wire is that it is corrosion resistant, which is beneficial as it will not rust due to the amount of heat the coiled wire is constantly exposed to.

Currently, hair dryers are very safe to work with and allow you to not only dry your hair, but also style it however you want.
