We use money every day. It is the grease between the gears that make society work. Families are divided by its use and misuse. We see people who get it in bulk and then throw it away, not happy they got it.

We see people who steal it, waste it, and ultimately reject it. It can be a motivation or a curse. Many believe that it can give us what we dream of. But what is its true purpose? What is the money for in the end?

We are told that love for her can be the root of all evil. It has been described in terms of lust, desire, longing, etc. So there’s obviously a downside to this thing called money, isn’t there?

Didn’t Albert Einstein describe evil, when he was very young, simply as a lack of good? In other words, if we understood what money is really for and used it for good, then might it not be bad? Could it be that if we eliminate the misuse of money, then there would be no evil in its use?

So what is the purpose of money? The answer is this, and it is very very simple. Money exists to improve well-being and quality of life, for the sake of life.

That’s it. And that’s where money gets its power. And when you see that money is not used for this, you will find evil. You will find people doing things that are not for the benefit of life.

And by saying that the purpose of money is for the common good, we could also be saying that money is there to improve one’s life, one’s family, one’s friends, one’s country and all of life. That would include trees, birds, dogs, cattle, lions, insects, and everything we see as precious. If money is used to create a great monopoly, create a dynasty, but does not enhance the greater good of all life and living, then that money is an aberrational commodity and will eventually be overthrown.

For our society to move forward, we need money, but we need it to follow its correct path.

Money is like a river. And water is valuable, too, but only as long as it’s used in a way that doesn’t deplete or destroy us. So, like water, money flows and must flow from one person to another for life to improve. It can flow to the employees, the capitalist, the tax collector, and anyone else, as long as it follows its natural course of helping life.

When you see money being used to destroy life, it is not being used correctly. Then you can expect the owners of that money to be bankrupted, jailed, overthrown, and maybe even killed. That is throughout our history, revolutions and wars.

So, remember this the next time you have the opportunity to earn and use money. Allow it to follow its natural course for the well-being of life for the greater good. Then you can enjoy its use, and the great benefits it will bring you.
